Baggage Information & Services

You'll have everything you need to have the best possible trip if you abide by these regulations. eticketsbooking Thruway Services in the 7000 and 8000 number series may have different carry-on and checked luggage policies than eticketsbooking. These regulations are set by the operating airline.

        
Carry-On Baggage
    
Traveller is allowed to check in with two carry-on bags that measure 28 x 22 inches
and weigh 25 pounds (12 kg) apiece, in addition to two personal items that measure 14 x7
inches each. Ensure that each bag you own has a name and address tag attached to the
outside.

Hefty bags

Overweight baggage need to be repacked down to less than fifty pounds. To help with
repacking, boxes are available for purchase at stations manned by staff.

Extra Bags

For any carry-on and personal item that exceeds the number and size restrictions, a
excess baggage tax will be assessed. Per traveler, an excess of two bags is allowed.
In the event that the station is unmanned, fees will be collected at the station or
while on the train. You can check two bags free of charge through to your ultimate
destination if checked baggage is available.

Baby Products

A stroller, diaper bag, or other supplementary infant item may be brought on board
by passengers flying with children under the age of two; this item is not counted
toward the carry-on baggage or personal item limit.
Checked Baggage
    
Checked baggage service is available at a number of our stations and on many trains
and Thruway Services. Not all trains or locations are equipped to handle checked
baggage. Before you travel, make sure to check and see if your train and origin
and destination stations accept checked baggage.
      
Make sure you have a tag with your name and address on the outside of all your bags.
Free ID tags are available at all of our stations.
     
Before you arrive at the station, make sure your baggage is packed appropriately in
suitable containers.
    
Checking bags is required at least 45 minutes before the stated departure time of
your train. Plan for at least two hours of scheduled stopover time if you will be
changing stations en route to make sure your luggage is transferred to your new
train.
     
If the train or bus on your schedule does not accept checked luggage, it can be
permitted on another train or bus that is going to the same place (guns excluded).
It is advised to check in in advance.
